Amsterdam

amsterdam is very beautiful. its has all these old buildings that tower over you with a decent composure. theyre surrounded by all these people that speak dutch. i spent the day walking around. went through the red light district...couldnt stop laughing. i tried to keep my face straight as women undressed in little cubicle like windows and beckoned with half smiles. i was perturbed, but in a humorous way. sex was rampant in those little alleys thick with smoke. i kept walking and saw lots of bald men, delicately smoking long thin cigarettes. these guys were the real deal.
and the funny mustached hordes of french men on to small bikes, actually they all looked good full of class.

Holland-ish happenings

hello all, i am in holland. i started school about 2 weeks ago,and its going alright. just got back from the first Almere CultuurNacht. it was fun. i saw some bands. i will review them:
evant garden- the were good, i would have to say. the kick drum sounded loud as hell, like the one that Lieland Vessi has got with the Blimp...not as loud though. evant garden was like the mars volta with pink floyd then a small bit of shitty pop chorus things.
Gem-they were just bad. you could compare them to eugene's rocknrollsoldiers, but not as good.the dutch version, minus ever even being able to say they had "the gunn"...lucas charles gunn, now residing with the blimp.
its was a good evening overall. dutch is hard, and holland a bit bewildering. i am currently taking applications here for friends...
